SUPERTWIN will develop the new generation of optical microscope systems, exploiting the properties of entangled photons to acquire images at a resolution beyond the classical Rayleigh limit of about half the photon wavelength, demonstrating a radically new line of technology for super-resolution imaging devices utilizing the principles of quantum optics.

SUPERTWIN is a project funded by the European Union within the FETOPEN-2014-2015-RIA topic of the Excellent Science - Future and Emerging Technologies section of the Horizon 2020 (H2020) Framework Programme, a programme that supports the early-stages of the science and technology research and innovation around new ideas towards radically new future technologies.
