Fondazione Bruno Kessler
Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK) is a private, no-profit research center located in Trentino, Northern Italy.
The foundation, employing more than 400 researchers, has both scientific excellence and innovation, and technology transfer to companies and public services as its objectives.
The most relevant part of FBK activities is organized in two main centers: the Center for Materials and Microsystems (CMM) and the Center for Information Technology (CIT).
FBK’s Integrated Radiation and Image Sensors (IRIS) research unit develops advanced solid-state sensors, either using dedicated technology processes or state-of-the-art CMOS technologies, with special and fully customizable features.
The role of IRIS in SUPERTWIN is to design a new single-photon sensor for the detection of the entangled photons generated by the SUPERTWIN photon sources.
This project has received funding from the European Commission - H2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 686731 (SUPERTWIN project)
